Our Favorite Boutique Fitness Studios Coast to Coast

While Soulcycle and Yogaworks are both in our top ten favorite workouts, we wanted to share some of the more boutique studios we frequent in these three cities. We have a pension to gravitate to workouts focused on cardio and lean muscle building like dancing, yoga and pilates. Here is a list of our favorites that you have to check out next time you're in town.

New York

Bari Studio

23 Leonard Street New York, NY 10013

This all in one boutique gym will get you dancing, lifting weights and jumping on trampolines with a custom built schedule based on your measurements and personal goals. Founded by a previous Tracy Anderson Method instructor, you will find a similar workout but with additions like a heart rate monitor you can wear during your workout to track all of your calories, heart beat and even see how the other members of the class match up.

212 Bowery, New York, NY 10012

Justin Gelband is a celebrity trainer to Victoria's Secret models and pop starlets alike. You are bound to run into names like Karlie Kloss and Taylor Swift if you become a regular at this trendy downtown studio. Classes focus on small muscle groups and provide an all around approach to tightening and toning your body - from cardio and resistance training to private pilates reformer sessions.

Strala Yoga

632 Broadway, New York, NY 10012

We have a very dear relationship with this studio space in Soho founded by celebrity yoga teacher Tara Stiles. The vibes here are out of this world and be it a strong class or a Sunday relax, you are always bound to be surrounded by a great group of supportive yogis who are open to all levels. The playlists are crazy good and inspiring to get you into your downward dog in no time.

New York Pilates

25 Howard St, New York, NY 10013

A trendy downtown pilates studio founded by former ballerina, Heather Anderson, offers both private sessions as well as reformer classes focusing on abs, arms (& ass) as well as more fast paced core and cardio workouts.

Studio Three

648 N Clark St, Chicago, IL 60654

As the name suggests, this gym offers cycling using the famed Peloton bikes, a yoga studio and an interval training studio with a Barry's Bootcamp combination of HIIT moves and a treadmill. Studio Three also has a front of the house juice bar from Chicago's Real Good Juice Co. which is the perfect spot to refuel after a hard workout.

Exhale Yoga

945 N State St, Chicago, IL 60610

Our favorite yoga studio in the Windy City brings together the best vibes of a calm and centered space with a great roster of teachers that will bring together the mind body connection. The space also has a locker room with a steam and sauna which are the perfect place to relax after class. We are also partial to their studio boutique and spa offerings.

Soho House

113 N Green St, Chicago, IL 60607

This members only gym has a professional boxing ring and offers classes in everything from yoga and strength training to bootcamps and more. We also love that you can do a lap at the rooftop pool to cool off post workout or grab a bite to eat at The Allis downstairs. Their superfood porridge and avocado toast are favorites.

Los Angeles

Body by Simone

8623-8625 Santa Monica Blvd, West Hollywood, CA 90069

The funnest way to get your cardio in isn't running or a bike ride, it's dancing! Body By Simone makes dancing fun and the best part is you need zero coordination, just enjoy the music and jump around as you torch hundreds of calories in only 55 minutes. The studio also offers trampoline cardio and strength training that focuses on lean muscles that will make you tight and toned in no time.

Maha Yoga

13050 San Vicente Blvd #202, Los Angeles, CA 90049

Steve Ross's yoga studio in Brentwood is the spot to see and be seen on LA's west side. Mingle with the neighborhood locals as you sweat your way through a fun 75 minute class to awesome playlists remixing Zhu and Donna Summer. We love this studio's approach to yoga, which makes it fun without all of the corrections and pushiness you often find in a more traditional yoga environment.

Tracy Anderson Method

12345 Ventura Blvd, Studio City, CA 90501

The trainer who started the dance cardio craze has two outposts in Los Angeles - Studio City and Brentwood. Both studios are well equipped with amenities like marble showers and in-house hair dressers, but the steamy workout is what will get you coming back for more. Choose from dancing, trampoline workouts and strength training classes using resistance bands suspended from the ceiling. Alternatively, you can try a private pilates reformer session. Get a membership if you want even more personalized attention with private consultations from the studio's staff focusing on meal plans, weight-loss and other wellness goals.
